Participants may choose other thematic challenges, participants should not limit their projects to one thematic direction only.
What data sets will be available?
Digital collection “Rainis and Aspazija” – http://runa.lnb.lv/
National bibliography – Information about books and periodic literature published in Latvia from 1525 until 2017. https://www.lnb.lv/en/catalogues-and-databases/national-bibliography
Participants may combine above mentioned data sets with other open data sources. We encourage to use at least one data set from Latvia’s open data portal: https://data.gov.lv.
What tools will be available?
Participants are not limited to using any specific data processing tool or technology. We expect participants to bring their PCs (and other relevant devices for app development and showcasing) complete with the software stack of their choice.

We advocate fair use of technology and expect participants to obey any relevant copyright rules for the technology used during event.
As a complimentary option, eazyBI data visualization tool will be provided free of charge for participants.
At the end of the event, we expect participants to pitch a prototype for original, innovative mobile or web application bringing value to society or a specific group of users.
